Goken India has completed seven years of operation. What started as a three-person office in Pune in 2019 has grown into a full engineering team that has delivered more than 50 projects across automotive, mobility, industrial equipment, and consumer products. Several clients have worked with Goken India for three years or longer, a sign of the trust the team has built one program at a time.
That trust shows up in the range of challenges clients bring to Goken India.
When an automotive Tier-1 supplier needed a full interior lower trim program run with no internal design team of its own, Goken became their R&D team. Engineers carried full responsibility from concept layout through tooling release, across both LHD and RHD variants of a new passenger vehicle platform.
When a client needed a clear cost and weight visibility on a finished consumer product with no starting data, a full teardown and benchmarking study of a hair straightener reverse-engineered its design architecture, materials, and manufacturing strategy from scratch. The result: a 14% cost reduction and an 8.75% weight reduction on the fully assembled product.
When an construction equipment client’s electrical drawing process kept crashing, taking engineers over 20 minutes to process 51 drawings, Goken’s automation team built a CATIA CAA tool that cut that time to under three minutes and reduced the total number of drawing sheets needed.
